Calendar

Description​

The Calendar is designed to facilitate scheduling and event management within the organization. It provides a structured way to view and manage various types of events, appointments, and tasks. The module supports multiple calendar views and tabs, allowing users to efficiently navigate and manage their schedules.

Structure Description​

The Calendar includes the following navigation tabs:

  • General Calendar
  • Vacation/Sick Leave Calendar
  • Request Calendar
  • Entrance Test Calendar

In addition, the calendar has a session navigation.

Event Types in General Calendar​

The General Calendar supports the following types of events:

  • Class: This event type is used to schedule specific lessons for a class. Each event can be linked to a specific lesson from the Master Lesson Plan.
  • Event: A general-purpose event type that allows for the assignment of multiple staff members and classes.
  • Task: Designed for creating tasks with assigned staff members.
  • My Task: Intended for creating personal events or tasks.
  • Holiday: Used to mark holidays and non-working days.
  • Substitutions: This type is used for teacher substitution events.

Event Types in Vacation/Sick Leave Calendar​

The Vacation/Sick Leave Calendar supports the following types of events:

  • Vacation: Intended for assigning employee vacations. The system tracks the available vacation days for each employee.
  • Sick Leave: Used to assign sick leave to employees as needed.

Event Types in Request Calendar​

Events in the Request Calendar cannot be created directly within the calendar. These event types are created through the Issues section.

Event Types in Entrance Test Calendar​

The Entrance Test Calendar supports a single event type:

  • Entrance Test: This event type is for scheduling tests for prospective students.

Permissions​

Permissions in the Calendar module determine who can view, create, edit, or delete events. The permissions structure is as follows:

  • Manager:
    • Can create all types of events and assign staff and classes.
    • Can view all events except for personal My Task events of other users.
  • Teacher:
    • Has access to the General Calendar and the Vacation/Sick Leave Calendar.
    • Can only create My Task events.
    • Can view all events if they are related to the teacher.
  • Parent:
    • Has access to the General Calendar and the Entrance Test Calendar.
    • Cannot create any events in the calendar but can view Entrance Test events and reserve spots for their child if places are available.
  • Student:
    • Has access to the General Calendar.
    • Cannot create any events.
