Classes

Description

The Classes module allows for the creation and management of classes. Classes can exist in either an active or draft state. Additionally, a class can have one of the following types:

  • Intensive
  • Main

Each class must have a defined grade and level. Teachers can be assigned to teach, and students can be enrolled to learn in these classes. Furthermore, master lesson plans for these classes can be assigned using the Curriculum module.

Structure Description

The Classes module consists of several key components:

  • Class States: Defines whether a class is in an active or draft state.
  • Class Type: Specifies the status of a class as either Intensive or Main.
  • Grade and Level: Each class must have a designated grade and level.
  • Teacher Assignments: Allows for the assignment of teachers to each class.
  • Student Enrollments: Facilitates the enrollment of students in each class.
  • Master Lesson Plan Assignment: Enables the assignment of master lesson plans from the Curriculum module to classes.

Permissions

Only managers of the current space have access to this module. Managers have full authority to create, modify, delete, and manage all aspects of the Classes module.

Managers can manage all fields of a class only when the class is in Draft status. If a class is in Active status, managers can only add students or teachers. To remove a student from a class, other mechanisms within the student's file must be used.

Capabilities

  • Create Classes: Managers can create new classes with specified grades, levels, and statuses.
  • Assign Statuses: Designate classes as Intensive or Main.
  • Assign Teachers: Allocate teachers to specific classes.
  • Enroll Students: Register students into classes.
  • Assign Master Lesson Plans: Use the Curriculum module to assign comprehensive lesson plans to classes.
